About five km high in the Peruvian Andes, drones are helping
scientists map glaciers and wetlands with 10cm precision and gauge how
climate change will affect the people who rely on those glaciers for
water supply.
The strategy provides a ground for research teams that are investigating water security in other areas of the world with much larger populations, including India and China.

Today the FAA announced a registration statutory requirement now that applies to all aircraft. Aircraft registration process for owners of small unmanned aircraft (UAS) weighing more than 0.55 pounds (250 grams) and less than 55 pounds (approx. 25 kilograms) including payloads such as on-board cameras.
