I tried several times to get my DJI D-RTK 2 base station to work with the new Matrice 4 Enterprise. I could not get it to work. I tried updating my D-RTK 2 with the DJI assistant 2 app, however there has not been an update since 2021. It was on the latest firmware. So I thought I would write an article and make a little video on the steps that I went through to get it to work. First you will need to setup your D-RTK 2 base station up outside and power it on. Make sure that you let it connect and display 3 green lights before you start this process.

Click into your menu setting by clicking on the three dots in the upper right of your DJI Pilot app 2 camera view. Click into Precise Positioning settings Menu Satellite icon, 7th down from the top, as seen above. Enable the RTK Positioning toggle and the Maintain Positioning Accuracy Mode. Then dropdown to Select your RTK Service Type and select D-RTK Base Station. You will need to restart the Matrice 4 after you change these settings.

Another screen will pop up that will search for your D-RTK 2 base station. This screen was confusing to me, because the D-RTK 2 box looks like it is greyed out. There is a check mark next to it showing it is selected and you will see the connection bars to the right of the screen. You can close this screen, once it is selected.

I was now receiving data from the D-RTK 2 base station however it was still not connected.

I was missing this last step. Click on the RTK icon with the line through it on top of the main Pilot 2 app page. Below you will see that menu that pops up. Toggle the RTK Positioning toggle to the right to enable it.

That is it, you should now be connected to the D-RTK 2 with the DJI Matrice 4 series aircraft.

Check out the video below for these same steps.
