Drones made in the US - A look at Freefly Systems

Freefly Systems Made in the US DronesSince 2013, Freefly has been designing and creating drone systems and camera gimbals made in Woodinville, Washington.  Quadrocopter has worked closed with them since then, exclusively selling their Cinestar line.  In 2014 they joined forces at NAB in Las Vegas, to show the world a look at the first Movi, a 3 axis stabilized camera gimbal that would fly on a Cinestar drone platform.  The Cinestar was the evolution in professional heavy lift multi-rotor helicopters, in 2013. Drawing on vast experience in the areas of professional aerial cinematography, engineering and manufacturing, Quadrocopter and Freefly Systems collaborated to create the ultimate aerial platform for the times.   In 2016, Freefly Systems Alta 6 and Alta 8 continues to excel with the drone revolution and innovation.  Ready to Fly in minutes, the Freefly Alta 6, unpacks and unfolds like never before.

Government Approved Solutions

What is NDAA compliance for drones? NDAA Compliance refers to a set of standards published to indicate that platforms are substantially manufactured in the US with parts sourced domestically or from countries not deemed of concern to the U.S. government.

The Blue UAS effort is a holistic and continuous approach that will rapidly vet and scale commercial unmanned aerial system (UAS) technology for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Blue UAS represents a trusted resource for a broad range of capabilities, from maintaining base infrastructure to promoting physical security through routine patrol and surveillance. Replacing the current restrictive environment around UAS with a permissive structure for review and acquisition will foster the development of individual tactics and expand the DoD use and capabilities of UAS.
